New Telescope Acquired

The Society has acquired another telescope , kindly donated by Lucasz Domanski .

It is a Skywatcher 5inch reflector with a motor drive and camera attachment to fit Canon DSLR cameras.

New Scientist Live Show 20th September 2018

Earlier in the year , Janice MacLean from the British Astronomical Asssociation invited HGSAS to participate in the New Scientist Live Show as guests on their stand  - 441 in the COSMOS Section.

Christina, Dianne and I prepared 6 quizzes that we ran throughout the day with prizes of the Books "Cataclysms and Renewals" and "Star Core Zeus" by Rupert Holms, which were kindly donated by the author.
